ADAM MOLESWORTH NOLAND was born in Wayne County, Ohio, Oct. 7, 1829. Died at his home in Cedar Township, Lucas County, Ia., April 27, 1908, at 11 o'clock p.m., at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 20 days.He was married to ESTHER SARAH BRETZ, Oct. 18, 1857, with whom he has lived for over 50 years, they having celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, Oct. 18, 1907.
At the age of 26 years he moved to Clayton County, Iowa, where he lived for
8 years.In 1864 he moved to Scott County, living there 4 years, when he
moved to Hardin County, where he lived for 29 years.In 1897 he moved to
Lucas County, living for 11 years on his home place in Cedar Township.
In 1857 he united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.The deceased
leaves a wife and six children and a host of friends to mourn his death.
Two children, NELLIE, aged 13 years, and HARRY, aged 13 months, having
departed this life.The remaining children are: MRS. VIOLA LEPLEY,
Homestead, Mont.; WM. NOLAND, San Jose, Cal.; MRS. MARY CUNDIFF, Bulockville
Alberta, Can.; ADAM NOLAND, Omaha, Neb.; MRS. MARGUERITE RANDALL, Russell,
Ia.; MRS. JOSEPHINE HOLLINGSHEAD, Russell, Ia.
The funeral services were held at Bethel Church, conducted by Rev. Bennett,
Pastor.A large crowd of friends and neighbors congregated to pay their
last respects to the departed.

its worth, and feel how true a man has walked with us on earth."
