Hello everyone, My husband Chris Brewster completed his DNA through Ancestry. He sent the results to Jeannie for the Brewster Family DNA Project to find that he's not from the Brewster line in Kings that's linked to the Planters and the Mayflower. We couldn't believe it, but DNA doesn't lie. Now what we would like to know is where does he fit in? Here's what we do know. Samuel Brewster b.abt 1833 m. Louisa Brewster d/o Charles Brewster and Rebecca Wood Children; Inez, Annie, Laura and Avard B. Avard B b. 1881 m. Florence Kaizer Had 10 children including Howard B. My husband's Grandfather. From everything that I find Samuel and Louisa were married in Cornwallis in or around 1860. I know from Louisa's death record in 1927 that her parents were Charles Brewster and Rebecca Wood. Her brother Charles died in July of 1926. Where does Samuel fit in? I've tried a lot of different ideas. Is he the son of this Ephraim that I find everywhere? Could he be a brother to Ashur/Asher Brewster of Baxter's Harbour? There's not much out there about this Samuel. We're trying within my husband's family without much success. He is on the 1881 census but passed away before 1891 as Louisa is listed as a Widow on that census. Anyone else have any leads? I can add this, of all the people that Chris happen to come close to being related to through the DNA matching services, the 2 closest were through Northern Ireland. Thanks everyone for your time.
