I checked a Mayflower site, and William Brewster's granddaughter Elizabeth Prence, daughter of Thomas Brewster is the one in whom I'm interested. Wm. Brewster's daughter Rebecca married Thomas Pence in 1624, and Elizabeth Pence was their daughter. I have been told that she divorced her first husband and may have, after some years, married (2) Richard Mann of Scituate, Mass. (1620-1655). I have been unable to confirm this. Richard's wife is known to historians (including the Scituate Historical Society) merely as Rebecca. Somewhere may be lurking a documented connection of her to Richard Mann. So far my pursuit of the Prence surname hasn't revealed anything. I don't need this Mayflower connection particularly, as I already have 3 others--but it would be nice for some of my other distant cousins with whom I communicate.
