Hello...
My great uncle Pat Brightman's (Bailey Peyton) name and my great aunt Alpha Young Brightman's name are noted in your message. I have emailed you privately at your email address, but responding here as well. They are both deceased, killed in a car accident over 40 years ago.
I'm trying to do some research on the Brightman family myself, farther back.Bailey Peyton's oldest sister, Bertha June Brightman Jorgensen was my maternal grandmother.Their father William H. Brightman and Adelaide J. Matthews Brightman were my great grandparents. But I'm also trying to determine ancestry farther back. Their grandfather was also William Brightman, born 1841 to 1843 timeframe, NY... and his wife was Mary (?), born 1850, IL. I'm looking for family farther back and also I'm trying to determine when the earliest of the family came to America... and where they came from, and their names as well.I'm interested in joining the DAR also if I can determine the earliest ancestors arriving in America... the years, and their names, etc., and would also like to know where exactly they came from.I'm guessing it was England, but I need some definite information.Do you have anything that you might share with me to help me out with this?
Thank you very much in advance.
