Stephen Brindley,b abt 1812 is listed on the LDS site. one of his sons, Elijah, b. 1864 is my Great grandfather. They lived in the Buffalo Valley area, and their descendants still do. Another branch of Brindleys appeared in that area about 1870 give or take. Benjamin is listed in the Putnam county census of 1870 as being born in Kentucky. Stephen's father is listed on the LDS site as being born in the Buffalo Valley-Chestnut Mound area abt 1786. I believe he was the grandson of the first Stephen Brindley to come to America. I have to go to Nashville this weekend to extend my research, and may wind up going to North Carolina. There is still a Brindley Hollow rd. in Putnam co. and a Brindley cemetary there. That's where Benjamin F. Brindley is buried. Elijah is buried at the Chestnut Mound Methodist churh cemetary
