Hi Margaaret,
There may be a link, I seem to remember being told as a child that two of my grandfathers aunts went to the US. I know there is a branch of the family out there because my mother told me someone came over in the sixty's or seventy's & there was a big gathering. Unfortunatly I'm not in touch with anyone nowdays to ask further.
