Brindley of Kinver, Staffs

I have found a reference to a "Brindley" of Kinver who introduced the first Rolling and Slitting Mill to England from Germany. Does anyone have any information on who he was and how long he was in Germany? There are a few Brindley's in Germany and I wondered if they were his line ?

The reference was in "The History, Gazetter and Directory of Staffordshire" by William White 1851.

Yvonne Long.
