My maternal grandmother was Millicent Brindley born 1898 in Kingston Surrey vol # 2a pg 254

The childhood story from my mother was that her great great grandfather was a famous engineer who worked with James Watt. Could be James Brindley 1716-1772 but I have not seen any connection between them yet.

I notice you have a Mary Brindley born around the same time. Could there be a connection, I am new to this research and have not yet had a chance to go to the records office.
