Hi Jean
A little more progress.
My grandmother Millicent Brindley born 1868 christened Church of England, Parish Church, Wimbledon, Surrey 30th Aug 1868.
Father James Brindley mother Lucy. So far cannot find birth or marriage certs for either of them. No maiden name for Lucy.
Wimbledon is, of course, now part of London but in Surrey
and would have been a village some four or five miles from the centre of London. Births would probably have been registered in Kingston, Surrey.
My grandfather was a Londoner and lived in north London Edmonton Middlesex and more than likely met Millicent in London. Therefore there were some Brindleys around London.
Is it possible that Martha Brindley had a brother in law called James? Mary Leach and Millicent Brindley were born within a year of each other. Who were Martha Brindley's parents?
