Hi John: that is great you were able to get a little more information. It feels so good when one is able to take a little step forward(backward? ) doesn't it? Bakewell, Derbyshire, is an interesting detail. You are moving back into Brindley territory :-)).

I took a look on the Free BMD for James' birth, but that section(around 1840) has not had much transcribed yet. We will have to wait for more transcribed records to be made available. I hope you have success in getting their birth certificates.
