Dear Mr Maris,

Thank you for your reply and your kind interest. Can you assist me with information re a Thomas Brindley, brother of the Auditor to the King of England, who came to America. The Brindleys who support the James Brindley Mill in Leek, Staffordshire, have the complete genealogy, basically, back to 1272. Was this the Thomas Brindley, Loyalist, in Massachusetts, who with other Loyalist, were forced to leave Masschusetts, and may have gone into Georgia in the mid-1700's? What about a John Brindley and his family in Ireland, who came to America, probably Savannah, GA in the 1700's? A Lawrence Brindley who came to America into Perquamons/Nansemond Co. VA and No Carolina?

Thank you for your interest.

Betty Jane Brindley Chalfant
