My information (from the Virginia Marriage Index 1740-1850) states that Richard Morrison married Polly Brindley on March 14, 1815 in Bath County, Virginia. Is it possible that "Polly" is a nickname for Mary?
My notes indicate also that Mary Brindley is a daughter of James Brindley (who married Rebecca Hughes)and that she married Richard Morrison. She was born 1793 and died 1853. The Virginia Marriage Index notes her sister Lucretia F. married James Hughes on Dec. 22, 1829 in Pocahontas County, Virginia (I also have a note that she died in Indiana). Another sister, Betsey, married George Groce on Aug. 12, 1830 in Pocahontas County, Virginia. And another sister, Margaret married James Grimes on Feb. 15, 1822 in Bath County, Virginia and also married Julious Saunders Aug. 8, 1833 in Bath County, Virginia. (James/Rebecca's children are: Richard, Mary, Lucretia (b. ~1803), Diana, Betsey, Henry (b. ~1800 in VA, m. Nov. 1825), Margaret, and Anna. Please let me know if I can help you any further.
