Neil: I and my family are the only known Brindley surname Y chromosone DNA tested to go back to James. You would need to get tested by the DNA testing lab in Houston which does it by mail. There is one other but we didn't match. Very simple process. We have a group rate which lowers the cost. By doing it here if you don't match me you may match other Brindleys not related to James. Who knows you might find relatives you didn't have. The more people tested the more we know about who is related to who. E-mail me directly at brindlej@onemain.com and I'll give you the information.
