Dear Gordon,

I am seeking information about Mary Ann Brindley (my great, great, great grandmother), born 1807, married to John Benton of Birmingham. I don't know the year of their marriage, but their first daughter, Mary Ann, was born in 1829. The information I have so far comes from my grandfather's research and I don't know its source or, therefore, its reliability. In my grandfather's papers is the comment, "we would like to think there's a connection with James Brindley" - of course!

I have a lot of information about the Bentons, and I would be very interested to know whether Mary Ann appears in your database. I wonder whether she is the third daughter of John and Amelia, mentioned in your message (I'm afraid I don't understand the end of that sentence - I'm very new to genealogy).

Thank you,

Rachel
