Hello Richard,
I am descended from a family of Brindleys from Staffordshire. 'My' Brindley is one Ann Amelia Brindley born in 1867 in Wolverhampton. Her father was Thomas Brindley, born 1833/4 in Little Haywood, Staffs. He was married in St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Chapel in Wolverhampton in 1859. I think that his father was also Thomas, born around 1800 in Staffs. They all lived for a number of years in Tower Street, Wolverhampton, according to censuses 1871-1901.
Could you throw any further light on their origins, ie from Haywood and before, from your database?
I would be happy to furnish you with all of my findings, should you wish.
Cheers,
Andy Skidmore
