Mary, Joseph Brindley of Alton was my 7x great grandfather. I have covered the history of the Brindleys in my book - Brindley Genealogy. Are you somehow related to him? Re John; as far as I know he died peacefully from natural causes What is your source/basis for saying that he committed suicide? Regards, Gordon Brindley.
