Sorry - I have been away most of the summer and only just found your reply to my message. I am sorry to say that I do not have birth, death or marriage records for either Gordon or his son Richard. Family stories are that Gordon was a judge. My grandfather Samuel (Richard's son) who was born in Canada on May 17, 1897 and died on September 9, 1986 was in World War I and spent some time in London, he apparently looked up his uncle Samuel who he was named after. His story to me was that his Uncle Sam was in the British Secret Service. This could all just be a tall tale as I have discovered that people like to embelish their family history with interesting characters. I will try and find out more from this end. Thank you for your reply.
