I saw your forum and wondered if any of you can help on the following query.
I'm writing a biography of a moderately well-known British boxer called Kirkland Laing. As part of my research, I have traced his amateur career right back to his schoolboy days. One of his more significant bouts as a schoolboy was against an "R. Brindley" from Sheerness School (on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, in England). Further reasearch makes me pretty certain that this is Robert C. Brindley, who was born on the Isle of Sheppey in the second quarter of 1954. His mother's maiden name was Boll.
As this particular bout was moderately significant in Kirk's early boxing life, I'd very much like to talk to Robert if he is willing (and if indeed he is still alive), to include his memories and recollections in my book. Do any of you know Robert and where he might be now? All help gratefully received!
