Hi Judi, to verify which John Brindley you think married Theodosia, try writing to FamHist@audley.net Contact:Miss P Spode, a very helpful lady.

I verified mine being born 1792. The name of the father William Brindley( Ironmonger) was on John's marriage cert and on his attestation papers.

According to the IGI, my John was born 16th March 1792 in Audley to William Brindley and Ann Sposon.

On his attestation papers, John gave his birth as July 1792. but that is understandable as his parents were married on 23rd Oct 1791. :-))

William and Ann had other children, Ellen, b 1799,( possibly married John Lowndes) Ann b 1797( possibly married William Daniels) and William b 1794

(unverified:) William Daniels and Ann Brindley had children, one was Thomas b 1822. he married an Elizabeth Tunstall.

(Unverified:) parents of William Brindley(B 1766) were Daniel Brindley(b 1736 Wolverhampton) and Mary( nee?).

I would love to know how your search turns out. :-))
