Elijah Brindley, born 1864 and son of Stephen Brindley, born 1812 and his father, (whose first name I don't know)are listed in the LDS site as being born near Chestnut Mound, Tn. They were actually all born and lived in a community close to Chestnut Mound, Tn. called Buffalo Valley. Buffalo Valley was a thriving community right up until interstate 40 cut right through it. My uncle still remembers it. Elijah did, for awhile, live in Red Boiling Springs, Tn. He had heard the water there would help his bladder problems. My grandfather, Joe Crook, the husband of Mattie B. Brindley, bought the property back long before I was born and Elijah alternated staying with them and at Red Boiling Springs. Anyway, my question is, does anyone have any idea what the first name of the Brindley born in 1786 (he married a Derossett, again no first name)was? I have a theory he may have been a child of the Stephen Brindley from Northern Ireland. Anyone have any information?
