I know that my grandmother, whose maiden name was Brindley, was traced as a descendant of James Brindley through his brother. There have been Brindley reunions for direct descendants, and my cousin through my grandmother's eldest brother, Reginald Brindley has been to them.
My grandmother's family also came from Staffordshire. My grandmother's immediate family came from Wolverhampton, but I also know that many Brindleys have links to Brood- where the whole of Staffordshire seems to have originated!!!!
