George, Horatio & William Brink - Wisconsin Civil War Veterans

I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . Three of our men are George, Horatio & William Brink.

George Brink
Residence Westport WI;
Enlisted on 1/18/1864 as a Private.
On 1/18/1864 he mustered into "A" Co. WI 23rd Infantry
He was transferred out on 7/1/1865
On 7/1/1865 he transferred into WI 35th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 7/21/1865
He was listed as:
* POW 4/8/1864 Sabine Cross Roads, LA

Horatio Brink
Residence Westport WI;
Enlisted on 2/29/1864 as a Private.
On 2/29/1864 he mustered into "A" Co. WI 23rd Infantry
He was transferred out on 7/1/1865
On 7/1/1865 he transferred "A" Co. WI 35th Infantry
(date and method of discharge not given)
(Absent sick at M. O. of Regt)


William Brink
Residence Mazomanie WI;
Enlisted on 8/14/1862 as a Corporal.
On 8/14/1862 he mustered into "D" Co. WI 23rd Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 7/4/1865 at Mobile, AL
He was listed as:
* Wounded 10/5/1864 Jackson, LA
Promotions:
* Sergt
* 1st Sergt
* 2nd Lieut 6/16/1864 (Not Mustered)


This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
