Maria (Polly) Brink - Ulster & Delaware Co. NY

NOTE: I'm not 100% positive of my ggg grandma's last name.

I'm looking for her parents.

Polly's dates are: 1/18/1805, Ulster Co. NY - 1/6/1866, Walton, Del. Co. NY.

She married Jacobus ROOSA (more commonly known as James ROSA). James' dates are 3/1/1802, Ulster Co. NY - 5/27/1875, Walton, Del. Co. NY. His lineage can be found in Lorraine Luke's "ROOSA" database on Rootsweb.

I have no marriage date for them.

They had 10 children (two died in infancy.) They were members of Woodstock DRC and the first four children (listed below) were baptised at Woodstock.

Note the changes in Polly's first and last names.

Timeline:

Benjamin:(9/10/1826 - 1/3/1863) His parents are listed as James ROSA & Mariah BONTOFF. He married Sally Betsy _____.

William:(11/11/1829 - 1906) His parents are listed as James ROSE & Polly MAJOR. He married Adelia SAWYER.

*** Polly was baptised as an adult at Woodstock DRC on 10/9/1830 and listed as Polly ROSE wife of Jacobus.***

Catherine:(8/22/1832 - bet. 1900-1910) was baptised on 9/16/1832 as Anna Catharina ROSE daughter of James ROSE & Polly BENTO. She married Andrew SIMMONS.(my gg grandparents)

Margaret:(b.3/20/1835) was baptised as Sarah Margaret ROSE. Her parents are listed as Jacobus ROSE & Polle BUNTE. Margaret married Edward GRAHAM.

In 1836 they moved from Kingston to Walton, Delaware Co. NY.

I have no baptismal information for the next four who were born in Walton.

Eli:(6/6/1837 - 1866)

Mary:(b.1840) She was living in Ulster Co. according to James' 1875 will.

Nelson:(4/30/1843 - 7/5/1918) married Martha MILLER.

Martha:(b. 1/8/1847) married John BEATTY.

Even though the were still living, neither Margaret or Martha were listed in James' 1875 will.

Both James & Polly are buried next to each other in the ROSA CEMETERY outside of Walton.

In the 1890's, in Walton, a biography was written about their son William. This biography listed Polly's surname as BRINK.

So . . . are there any clues out there as to my ggg grandma's REAL identity?
