Elizabeth Satterlee-ly b. abt. 1800 in Catharine, Tioga, now Schuyler County, N.Y. married Isaac Brink s/0 George Brink about 1820, probably in Catharine, Tioga, N.Y.

They had numerous children including Samuel S. Brink b.1836 in the Ithaca, N.Y. area and died 10 Sept. 1908 in Seattle, WA.

Elizabeth Satterlee Brink died 28 Oct. 1887 in Lancaster, Grant, Wisconsin.

Elizabeth Satterlee may have been the daughter of a Samuel Satterly-lee b. abt. 1775-1780. He is enumerated in the 1800 Census of Catharine, Tioga, N.Y. as a head of a household and young children. He may have been the son of Selah Satterly-lee bapt. 1753 in Setauket, L.I and removed to Catharine, Tioga, now Schuyler County, N.Y. about 1790. He is enumerated as a HOH in the 1790 Census of that area with young men in the family. Selah was a town officer in Catharine and Samuel became a constable about 1800.
Both Selah Satterly and Samuel Satterly disappear from view after 1800 in the Catharine, Tioga, N.Y area.
No trace has yet been found of them since those dates.

My ancestor Ephraim Satterly-lee b. 1786 may have been the younger brother of Samuel Satterly and perhaps uncle to Elizabeth Satterlee Brink.

Ephraim Satterly named his first son Selah S. He also named a daughter Elizabeth and another son Samuel D.

A Sarah Satterly is enumerated as a HOH in 1810 in Catharine, Tioga, N.Y. and it is thought that this Sarah is either the widow of Selah or perhaps Samuel.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has more information on Elizabeth Satterlee m Isaac Finch.

Is there an obituary of her death in 1887??
A death certificate?

The fact that Eliazbeth Satterlee m. Isaac Brink named a son Samuel S. certainly strengthens the likelihood that her father was possible Samuel Satterlee.

Thanks for any additional help!!

Dr. R. Alan "Chip" Satterly
