I have purchased a Victorian photo album in a flea mkt. with 29 Victorian photos of men, women and children. What looks like a wedding photo of man and woman is the only one with a name. It simply reads, "Grandma Brink". The couple is holding hands.
Some of the photographer's studios are listed as: Kansas City, Mo., Southwest City, Mo. (several from S.W. City) Seneca, Mo.,Valparaiso, Ind. One photographer's studio, G. Waldon Smith, had studios in Boston, Mass, Portland, Me. and Old Orchard, Me.
The latter photo is of a young woman in a chair with oak? leavess on the breast of her gown. The back of photo reads, "Would you believe that I wore 5 1/2 glove! Oh, dear!" It is signed, "Laurel, with love from The Fairie Queene"
I believe this album is from a family in the Southwest City area or Joplin possibly as I think I purchased it in Missouri. (It's been a while back.)
Anyone who has knowledge of who these photos might belong to please contact me at: jjuby@att,net. Or any Brink family members please contact me if they are interested or have questions. I am a genealogist myself, and hate to see anyone but proper family own these phots.
