If you are related to the Brink's Inc family, it would not be directly.
Washington Perry Brink was the founder of Brink's Chicago City Express which eventually became Brink's and he was born in Vermont in 1830 , moved to Chicago by 1859 to start Brink's and that's where he died in 1873.
Perry Brink's only surviving male child was Arthur Perry Brink (1855 Vermont - 1916 Chicago). AP Brink's only surviving male child was Percival (Perry) Arthur Brink ( 1878 Chicago - 1970 Glendale, CA). PA Brink's only male child was Laurence K Brink (1903 Chicago - 1983 Mission Viejo, CA). Laurence K Brink's two sons are/were Laurence K Brink Jr (b 1928 Glendale, CA) and William B (1932 Los Angeles - 2007 Santa Ana, CA)
William had no children and LK Brink Jr (Larry), my dad, my brother and I, plus our four boys (total)are the only ones with the Brink surname directly connected with the Brink's founder.
WP Brink's father was Horace W Brink (b. 1800 in Vermont), who married Permilia McAllister (b 1809) and their other male children (who would carry the Brink name) were Marshall D (b 1832), Merritt A (b 1841), and Horace A (b 1845 and worked for Brink's after the Civil War and served in the 4th Vermont, Company E during the war).
Most likely, any connection with the Brink's company would be through Horace W Brink's children. My line left Vermont and was in Chicago until prior to WWI and have been in So Cal since.
Would love to share more information if there is a connection.
