Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

James W. Brink was married to Philena Adams b. January 9, 1840 in Illinois; d. September 1, 1919 in Arkansas. James Gates (who signed Brinks' death certificate) was his son-in-law.

They had two daughters, Irona (b. 7-26-1869) and Augusta "Gussie" (b. 12-1871 or 1872). Her brother, Samuel Adams' second marriage was to Annie Brown daughter of John Brown, the abolitionist. Brink was a brother-in-law of Sam & Annie Adams.

I am a descendant of another brother, Danford Odell Adams. The Adams family has quite a history as well. You can contact me directly if you wish. I have more information but not sure what you may already have and perhaps we could share some info.
