Jacob Brindley married Rhoda Powell

Jacob Brindley (Brinley/Brinly) married Rhoda Powell 25 December 1856 in Smith County, Texas. This information was sent to me by a Powell researcher.

Rhoda Powell was the widow of James G. Powell who died January 1854 in Falls County, Texas, but was from Smith County, Texas.

In 1860 Cherokee County, Texas Census a Jacob Brindley age 60,was listed as a widower. This seems to be the same Jacob, I don't know for sure. I have read other messages where researchers have found the different spellings for Brindley on the 1860 Census.

I would like to know when Jacob Brindley died, for it is thought that Rhoda Powell Brindley went back to Montgomery County, Alabama and married again.

Rhoda Powell was my husbands gr gr grandmother. William J. Powell, grandfather; Thomas David Powell great grandfather; Rhoda Powell gr great grandmother. Rhoda is a mystery, we do not know her parentage. We hope that someone who is connected to the Jacob Brindley family, might know something of Jacob and Rhoda Powell Brindley.

Thank you, Joy
