William Ryan Brinley b Feb 4, 1839 Hillsboro, Jefferson Co. MO. married late in life. His wife, Matilda Jane Atterbery b.1/19/1857 in Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL. Their daughter "Effie' Matilda Jane Brinley was mother to 'Teddy'.
Their grand daughter, Evelyn 'Teddy' Volt lived to be well into her 90's and passed away in Renton, WA in recent years. A delightful lady with two children of her own, a daughter and a son. I have no info on them other than to say they didn't live in the Seattle area. Teddy and her hubby had moved to Washington from Kansas to 'fish'. That was her words to me when I was lucky enough to have visited her.
William was son to Levi Brinley SR (born in KY ca 17960 and brother of Levi Brinley JR. (I added the SR and JR to help I.D.)
William's civil war records were on file in Austin, TX where I read of the death of his young brother, Levi.
Levi SR was in TX in 1860 with his family. (he was in MO prior to this)
In 1870 he was deceased and his family had moved to Barry Co. MO.
However William Ryan was living with his sister:
