Hi Jody,

The McKenney is also spelled McKinney on many records. The a large portion of the family moved into Texas and founded McKinney, Texas. My husband is from that area and his line goes back directly throught the Brinley (Brinlee) line for over 7 generations. In answer to your question about Elizabeth's father Henry, I have that he died 18 Oct 1839 in Posey, Harrison Co., Indiana.

Many of the men in the Brinley family married indians. And a lot of them lived on indian lands in both Kentucky and Texas.

I have traced the Brinlee family back to New Jersey, but I have not been able to confirm any information beyond that point. If you have any info on Malinda J. Horton, the wife of George Robert Brinlee, b. 28 Jul 1838 or "Sally" Elizabeth Arrington, wife of George Mason Brinlee, b. 1865 in Moreland, Texas Let me know.

See if you get more information by looking for "McKinney". I have been able to trace my line back through New Jersey to Scotland, and I'm still going strong. Also try searching for Dubbs and Dups as variations on Elizabeth's name. I have a Mary "Polly" as Elizabeth's sister. She died 25 Aug 1846. I'm not sure if she is the one you want.

Let me know if we can swap some info.
