The Brinley's in Harrison County, Indiana and the Brinlee's that was part of the Hiram Brinlee family in Texas are an entirely diffent family.

John Brin(d)ley in Indiana had a son Hiram (1806-20 Oct 1847), born in Indiana and died in Harrison County, Indiana and is bured next to his father John Brinley in the Applegate Cemetery, Harrison County, Indiana.

This Hiram was married to Amanda Leffler with children of William, Sarah, Anna Marie, George Washington and James.

Hiram Brinlee in Texas was born 15 Dec 1807 in Tennessee and died 28 Jul 1885 in Stony Point, Collin County, Texas.
This Hiram married Betsy Ann McKinney and had children of:
Margaret Leek, Richard M, George Robert, Sarah Bertie, Hiram Carroll, David Francis and William Hiram.

The problem when someone was searching the John Brinley family found the Hiram in Indiana and assumed it was the same Hiram. The wrong information is all over the Internet but it doesn't prove to be correct.

They are not related in anyway as far as we know.

Clyde Brinley
