Hi Marilyn,
I came across your message and had to reply. My grandfather Walter Brinston was from sound Island. He married Susanna Childs and they had 8 children. My father lives in Nfld still as well does his sisters. He has only one living brother who lives in Labrador. I believe my brother Harvey has done some research on the Brinston name. My uncle Gordon was killed overseas during the 2nd world war. It has been said that he has a child in Scotland. His girlfriends name at that time was Marie Wallace from Forfar Scotland. I am trying to locate that name there but I am not having much luck. Are you related to the Brinston's?

regards,
Edie Brinston.
