F. Brinton, Philadelphia, ca 1870
I have an antique photo, from the 1860s or 1870s, which is identified only as "F. Brinton".The photo is of an older man, and was taken in Philadelphia. I bought the photo at a flea market. Can anyone tell me what his first name was?I'd like to know what his occupation was, too.He appears to be well-to-do.There are five unidentified photos bought with the identified one of F. Brinton. Two of these were also taken in Philadelphia, but all three are by different photographic studios. One of these Phila. photos is of a woman (wife of F. Brinton?) and one is of a young man who could certainly be a son of F. Brinton.WasMr. F. Brinton related to a Bines family? Two other photos in the set are of a young man S. M. Bines, and a young woman Tacy Bines. These Bines photos were sold years ago; however, I made photocopies before selling them.Tacy looks so very much like the unidentified woman mentioned above as possible wife of F. Brinton (photographed in Phila.) that I think the unidentified woman must be the mother of Tacy. The Bines photos were also made in Philadelphia. Another photo in the set is identified as F. Carmicle (of) Sharpsville, Pa.; this is a young man, from ca 1860s. Does anyone have information that connects these people?
