Hi Tim... You didn't mention where the Bristos and McGlassons were that you were researching - but, for the last several years a cousin and I have been trying to determine the parents of Prudence Jane Bristow who married Nathaniel Morgan, Jr. 21 Dec. 1848.Their daughter, Mary Susan Morgan was my G-grandmother (and had beautiful red hair I might add!)... While trying to find Prudence Jane's parents, we found a Frances McGlasson who married a Bristo.Frances was the daughter of James McGlasson and Susanna "Sukey" Halley.Further research has led me to believe that Frances' husband was possibly a George Bristo -
born ca. 1780-90 and died ca 1843.George is listed in the 1830 Cumberland County, KY census and the 1840 Russell County census. In the 1850 Russell County Census there is the widow Frances with children Susan, Nancy Frances, John H. and George A.In the 1840 census there is an older son who we have not been able to identify and the female children may include my GG grandmother Prudence (can't prove that yet)..
If the above information is remotely close to what you are looking for, you can contact me directly at [email protected]
My cousin, Jim Morgan, and I have recently decided that we were the only ones looking for a Bristo/McGlasson family!!
Hope to hear from you.
