Sorry Charles.
Peter was found in Franklin County, South Carolina. It is thought that he originally came to Canada in 1752 and went on to Pensilvania and then onto Franklin County.
It is said he had 6 children.
There is no proof here that Peter came to Canada so not sure where that came from.
There is a Britnell/Stringer line on the net but there are errors in that line so don't take it as gospel.
I found a package from Shirley Britnell who is a little more thorough but does not mention (that I can see) your Joseph Britnell and his wife.
Shirley lives in Alabama and also has posted messages on other bulletin boards.
