Ira was born to Riley Britton & Julia Ann Strong on 22 Dec 1853 in Stone County MO. His name is either Ira, Aree or Arce. And his last name is either Britten or Britton.
Ira went on a Cherokee Run land race in Oklahoma of 16 Sep 1893. As our story goes, he did find land. but moved on to Liberal KS. Then he or his descendants homesteaded near Springfield CO. He may also have also gone to Burdette KS. ... Some of his descendants are Homer Edward or Edwin Britten/on of Springfield CO, & sharon Porter of Las Angeles CA.
My Dad also met a guy on a hunting trip, who was married to a descendant of Ira. These people at the time were living near Las Vegas Nevada.
