Several family trees have James M. Britten, Sr. married to Frances Pounds, but have no James M. Britten, Jr. Is it possible that James M. Britten Jr. married Frances, and that his father moved to MO with his family?
An 1810 petition is signed by both James Britton Sr. and James Britton Jr. According to the family trees I have seen, Frances Pounds Britton would not have had an 18 or 21-year old son in 1810.
