Any information on the family of Joseph Broady from Altrincham, Cheshire, England. Born 1821, as seen on the the 1861 census, however I can find no census records prior to this. It seems he may have married twice as his bride, Martha, in this census shows up in the 1851 census married to a Samuel Howard with 8 children, some of which are named in the 1861 with Joseph Broady as his step-children. This census also shows Joseph having children prior to his marriage to Martha, leading me to believe he was married once before too, but to whom I don't know.Martha had Ellen, John, Mary R, Nathaniel L, Rebecca, Samuel, Susannah and William R, all in this 1851 census. In 1861 Susanah, Samuel, and a James and Edward Howard aged 9 and 8 accordingly, are mentioned, along with Joseph, Martha, the parents and Alfred Broady aged 9, Betsy Broady aged 13 and Herbert Broady aged 6 years. I did find a marriage index for a Josph Broady getting married in 1860 in Altrincham, Cheshire, but don't know whether this is our Joseph. I would dearly love to find out more information on Joseph as he is my gg grandfather and his son Alfred is my g grandfather. Any info would be gratefully recieved, thankyou, regards Virginia
