Wanted to post this and see if this was a connection for your David. My line comes from Sarah Ann Broady, who I believe was also the Daughter of John and Ann as well, but I cannot prove at this time. I have only been able to find them on the 1860 Census so far in Washington County as follows:
1860 Census for the Western District of Washington County, Virginia, taken June 8, 1860, PO: Saltville Page No. 28, Series M653, Roll 1383, Page 392 - Have printed copy
187 187 John Broady, Age 70, Farm Laborer, Ellen, Age 30, Housekeeper Joseph, Age 40, Farm Laborer
James, Age 27, Farm Labrorer
David, Age 25, Farm Laborer Elizabeth, Age 39, Weaver Merry, Age 30, Spinster
Sarah, Age 22, Weaver
John, Age 18, Farm Laborer
It appears that Sarah went back to VA from Missouri after her husband, William Franklin died. I believe her daugher Ella went with her.
1910 Washington County, Saltville, VA, April 28, 1910, SD9, ED114, Sheet 12B
Broaddy, John Head Age 63 Widowed
Clementine, Daugh Age 8
Head, Sarah A. Cousin Age 72 Widowed
Ellen A. Cousin Age 31 Single
Sarah was born in July 1838... My line comes from her son, John. I have also requested some of the Microfilm from the Library of Virginia to see what I can find on birth, etc. in that area. Looking to share data and see if we can pin down her parents.
