There is another line of southern Brocketts descended from a Robert Brockett. According to the research done by another member of my family (the Brockett side, of course), Robert Brockett was baptised March 8, 1752 near Lenark, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He and his wife, Annabella Burnet, emigrated to Alexandria, Va in 1784. Robert and Annabella had a son, Walter Burnet, born in 1782, who came with them to America. It starts getting complicated here, but some of Walter's decendants settled in Brookville, Maryland and High Point, NC.

If anyone would like more details of what I know, I'd be happy to share.
