Hi Peter. According to Donald Lines Jacobus "Families of Ancient New Haven" - Moses BROCKETT (son of John BROCKETT and Elizabeth DOOLITTLE) married 1st Ann GRANNIS on 8 Jan 1706. She was the daughter of Edward GRANNIS and Hannah WAKEFIELD. Moses and Ann had two daughters Ann BROCKETT b. 27 Sept 1707 and Silence BROCKETT b. 3 Nov 1709. Ann, the mother then dies and Moses marries Lydia HUMISTON in 1712. Lydia is the daughter of John and Sarah HUMISTON and she was born 1 apr 1689. Moses and Lydia then have the following children (Lydia 1713, Moses 1715, Elizabeth 1718, Mary 1720, Abigail 1721, Abraham 1721, John 1722, Abel 1725, Richard 1727, Stephen 1728/9, Sarah, 1731, Kezia 1735. No wonder the poor woman died in 1742! I hope this clears up the confusion. Let me know. Yours, penny
