I had an opportunity over the weekend to look at the census indexes for Connecticut and Vermont for 1790. Both indexes list all these individuals as Brackett or Bracket. The 1800 census index for Connecticut then lists them as Brockett. Is this merely a cenus taker's error? Is any one doing reaerch on these people in connecticut before 1790?
