I have seen the evidence for John Brockett, son of Sir John Brockett and it is convencing. My concern is that if this Christopher Brackett of Bennington, Vermont was a Brockett then all his descendants including myself are Brockett not Brackett. The evidence is that he married Elizabeth Tuttle in New Haven, CT. There was an Ebenezer Brackett in this same area of Vermont who was from Quincy, MA close to Braintree. Perhaps Christopher Brackett has been confused with Christopher Brockett? Could there have been two of them? Some of these Bracketts were invloved with the founding of Braintree, Vermont.
