Lucy Brockett's Husband, Rice or Scott?

Dear Forum,
We have a problem with Lucy Brockett's husband. Some of us have him as Moses Rice (as in the 1905 book) and others of us have him as William Gilmore Scott. This Lucy is the daughter of Eli Brockett and Catherine Ford born 8 July 1814. Eli is son of Amos, Samuel, Samuel, Samuel, John. Do any of you have any help for me on this? I would like to find a source other than the 1905 book - or the book may be correct. Thanks for any help you can give.
