I agree that Brackett and Brockett have to seperate origins and are different families. The problem here was the census takers. In early Connecticut records they were recorded as all Brockett even though some were Brackett and then ten years later they were all recorded as Brackett even though most of them were probably Brockett. Use the capital letters as this site is case sensitive. Once there click on Brockett at the bottom of the page.
