Hi Cathy. I am descended from Robert Brockett and Anabella Burnett of Virginia through their son, Robert Brockett, Jr. I am very interested in Walter Burnett Brockett and his line. I have done research in Alexandria, Virginia, and found reference in the Old Presbyterian Church Records of Walter's marriage to Elizabeth Byrne on November 18, 1815. I also visited the family plot in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Hamilton Lane and found on the tomb of Anabella Burnett Brockett these additional words:

       1st grave north and next to this tomb
       lies the body of Walter the oldest son
       of Anabella and Robert Brockett
       who departed this life May 23rd 1816
       aged 35 years.

This death date is only six months after his marriage to Elizabeth Byrne. Did they have a child?

I would appreciate any information and am happy to share what I have.
