John Adams Brockett was 3rd child of William B Brockett, son of William (nmi)Brockett and Martha Ives. John was b 1820 LA or MS (different censuses gave different info); d ca 1895, Linn Co, KS. Married (1) Eliza Ann Clark and (2) Sarah Catherine (Duvall) Gray.
His siblings were:
Michael S., b ca 1809 LA; m 1835, Effingham Co, IL to Mary Thomason.
William B. Jr, b 16 Dec 1811, LA; d 29 Feb 1876, White Co, IL; m (1) Irene Jenkins and (2) Leah Parkhurst.
Caroline, b ca 1826, LA; m 23 Dec 1846, White Co, IL, to Charles Everett.
James M. b 14 Feb 1829, LA; d 17 Oct 1896, Randolph Co, AR; m (1) Sarah Duncan, Effingham Co, IL, (2) Elizabeth McGee, 17 Jan 1853 (div), and (3) Statiana Eytchison, ca 1870, prob in MO. Went to KS ca 1857, returned to IL during great drouth, went to MO after leaving Elizabeth, then returned to Linn Co, KS, with Statiana where he operated the lumber mill, then migrated to Randolph Co, AR and built a lumber mill at a site now named for him.
Minerva, twin of James, m 26 Mar 1846, White Co, IL to James Cartmill
Mary Ann, b ca 1813; m 22 Jan 1828, Warren Co, MS. Lived Effingham Co, IL where he husband was sheriff for a time.
Merancy (Rance), b 1833, m Mary ?.
Martha, no information
Catherine, no information.
Spouse of William B unknown, but she appears to have died
between 1813 and 1820. William did not go to Illinois with his brothers, but moved there about 1830, lived for a time in Effingham Co, then moved back to White Co were he died about 1850.
