Hi Bruce, As you know, my Brockett connection is through my mother and so I'm useless for Y DNA in the Brockett line. My question is, do you have any idea how many descendants of John of New Haven are out there and where they are? Wouldn't most CT Brocketts be from John? Even a phonebook check might yield results.
This whole Q haplog evidence is intriguing and odd. We know John came with Davenport from England so the bloodline has to get the Q there. It's either Roman or directly Native American somehow, right?
How common is the Q haplog in people from Hertfordshire or Yorkshire? That would be good to know.
Good Luck with all of it and Best Wishes, Mike.
