I trust that you have already found that John Brockwell's wife, Mary Carter, was the daughter of Joseph and Anne Carter of Prince George County (per Joseph's will, dated January 24, 1760 (are you sure the marriage was that date, too?) and proved in court February 12, 1760). John and Mary already had a son named Carter Brockwell, who was also mentioned in his grandfather's 1760 will.
