I am researching the Brogdon/en/an family who was suppose to be from Dillon or Marion County, South Carolina and I was just wondering if you could help me?They were maybe from North Carolina (somewhere I have no clue). I have a ggggrandfather who was David Brogdon. I am not sure when he was born but I would say around the early 1830's or so and he was married to Celia Martin. I do not have parents on either one. I do have that they had one child named William Berry Brogdon. He was born 7/21/1861 and died 5/17/1941. He was married to Sarah McCormick, dob 3/18/1855 and died 6/18/1920. They had 7 children. Their names were Mollie Brogdon married Carra King, Elizabeth Brogdon married Harrison King, David Shepard Brogdon married Iola Bain, Edward Liston Brogdon married to Mary Cunningham, Lillie Belle Brogdon married to Murray King, Minnie Lee Brogdon married to Fredrick A. Proctor, and William Brogdon who died at birth. William married Flossie Owens, dob 12/23/1893 - dod 2/27/1927. Together William and Flossie had three children, who were, Elsie Flossie Brogdon MacDonald (dob - 3/26/1922 dod 6/18/2002), Vernie Brogdon Jackson (dob - 5/28/1923), and Owen Kinard Brogdon (dob - 9/4/1924 dod - 11/18/1967). William Berry and David Shepard are very popular with my Brogdons, and I think that Owen Kinard is a popular one also.

This is just a start can anyone help me with any thing earlier that what I have and do you have any connection?
Can you help or point me in the direction that I need to go.

Tara Brogdon Brown
